Count Kinský

The “Count Kinský” historical mast is welded from steel pipes. The transitions between indivi- dual diameters are usually covered with decorative reducers. The mast is strengthened at the point of fixture with a robust anti-corrosive sleeve. The decorative crossbar at the top of the mast makes it easy to use a ladder on the light fitting in places where access by a lifting platform is not possible. An appropriate addition to the mast is a replica of the “Rosalia” (Rose) historical lamp which can also come with a gas light.

This type of lamp used mast was first during the reconstruction of the Kinský Garden in Prague. The Kinský Garden lying on the south and south-eastern slope of Petřín Hill measuring ca 22 ha is separated from the other Petřín gardens by the Hunger Wall. In 1828 Růžena Kinská bought this land and her son, Robert Kin- ský, established an English-style garden here. In January 2004 the partial reconstruction of the garden began which involved the landscaping of the orchard, landscaping and reinforcement of the park paths, installation of lighting, building of water connecting pipes and drainage, building of an outdoor stairca- se or renovation of the existing non-functional fountain. Further reconstruction is currently being planned.
